Anu Gupta is one of the most prominent voices on bias, mindfulness, and human transformation. As an award-winning speaker, lawyer, scientist, and meditation expert, he has dedicated his career to reducing identity-based divisions and helping people reconnect with themselves and each other.
Through his company, BE MORE with Anu, he has trained more than 100,000 professionals across 300+ organizations, touching the lives of over 30 million people. Drawing on more than 10,000 hours of meditation on extended retreats throughout Asia and North America, Anu combines deep contemplative practice with rigorous scientific insight.
As a gay immigrant of color, he came to the work of breaking bias after almost ending his life due to lifelong experiences with racism, homophobia, and Islamophobia. The realization that bias is learned—and can be un-learned—helped lead him out of that dark point and inspired his mission to create bias-free futures using science-backed contemplative tools.
His best-selling book Breaking Bias (2024), introduced by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, further solidifies his role as a leading guide on cultivating compassion and dismantling harmful patterns. As a lifetime fellow of the Mind & Life Institute and an Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity, Anu brings rare depth, clarity, and humanity to every stage he steps onto.
Drawing on the harmony between modern science and ancient wisdom, Anu regularly shares his insights on Substack and has been featured on leading platforms including TED, the Dubai Future Forum, the Oprah Conversation, and TIME. Educated at NYU Law and Cambridge, he lives in New York City with his partner.

In an age of distraction and division, our greatest power lies in where we place our attention. Yet, most of us have never been trained to use it. Anu reveals how unexamined attention patterns and false “us vs. them” narratives fuel polarization, isolation, addiction, and loneliness — not only in society, but also in our workplaces, relationships, and mental health. Drawing on neuroscience, contemplative science, and two decades of teaching, Anu shares practical tools that can rewire the brain in as little as 18 days for the five essential capacities humans will need in the 21st century: clarity, compassion, connection, cooperation, and collaboration. This inspiring talk reminds us that reclaiming our attention is a necessary act of leadership — and the key to sustaining our humanity, our capacity to connect, love, and build a better world together.

In this energizing and practical talk, Anu blends neuroscience, mindfulness, and leadership science to reveal how reclaiming our attention can restore our vitality, creativity, and purpose. Through five evidence-based interventions, audiences learn how to regain control of their time, focus, and energy — and, in doing so, their lives. Essential for students preparing for the future of work and professionals seeking sustainable performance in an age of overload.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping every aspect of how we live and work, but the question isn’t whether AI will replace us. It’s whether we’ll remember what makes us human. In this illuminating and hopeful keynote, Anu traces the story of AI’s evolution and explores how it mirrors the human mind itself: brilliant, creative, and distracted. He invites audiences to engage with AI mindfully, not fearfully, using it to enhance our attention, empathy, and innovation rather than erode them. Through reflection and practical insight, Anu shows how we can collaborate with AI to address humanity’s greatest challenges — from burnout and bias to disconnection and division — while cultivating the one thing no algorithm can replicate: genuine human connection.

For most of human history, our brains have divided the world into “us” and “them.” This ancient wiring once kept us safe, but today it traps us in cycles of stress and separation that limit our wellbeing, creativity, and collective potential. In this visionary keynote, Anu reveals how we can unlearn these false narratives and imagine new possibilities for our shared future. Blending storytelling, neuroscience, and contemplative practice, Anu offers a pathway to recondition the mind and build communities where we belong in the fullness of our authenticity. He invites audiences to envision humanity’s next leap: moving beyond bias to leave our world better than we found it, for generations to come.
