Lorgia García Peña, Award-Winning Scholar on Blackness, Colonialism, and Migration

Who is Lorgia? A first-generation Black Latina scholar and currently serves as a professor in the Effron Center for the Study of America and the Department of African American Studies at Princeton University. Through a transnational, multidisciplinary lens, grounded on humanistic approaches to history and literature, Lorgia studies Blackness, colonialism, migration, and diaspora with a special focus on Black Latinx.

José Luis Vilson, Education Equity Activist

Who is José? A veteran educator and the co-founder and executive director of EduColor, an organization dedicated to race and social justice issues in education. He is the author of This Is Not A Test: A New Narrative on Race, Class, and the Future of Education and co-author of Teaching 2030: What We Must Do For Our Students and Public Schools … Now and In The Future.

ADHD Awareness Month: October

Caroline Maguire, Neurodiversity Inclusion Specialist

Who is Caroline? She is an ADHD and social skills expert and the best-selling author of Why Will No One Play With Me?, which provides a playbook for coaching people of all ages on how to build valuable social-emotional skills. She is the founder and director of the innovative training curriculum, The Fundamentals of ADHD Coaching for Families, at ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), which is the only Coach Training program accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF), where she earned her Professional Coach Certification.

Nidhi Tewari, Workplace Culture and Wellbeing Expert

Who is Nidhi? She is a behavioral health leadership trainer with a decade of clinical expertise as a therapist who specialized in working with high-performing leaders to her work with organizations, leadership teams, and event audiences who are looking to improve workplace culture, mental health, and leadership skills. Nidhi has helped to transform workplace culture with organizations like Godiva, NPR, and SHRM, and has garnered a community of over 10k Instagram followers.

LGBTQ+ History Month: October

Paula Stone Williams, Gender Equity Advocate

Who is Paula? She is an internationally-known speaker on LGBTQ+ advocacy and religious tolerance. As a former pastor and transgender woman, Paula brings a unique perspective to her work on gender equity. Paula’s memoir, As a Woman: What I Learned about Power, Sex, and the Patriarchy After I Transitioned, chronicles her transition journey and sheds light on the gendered landscape that impacts many in the LGBTQ+ community and women in the workplace and beyond.

Crystal Fleming, Critical Race Theory Scholar

Who is Crystal? She is an author, public intellectual and expert on global racism and white supremacy and award-winning author of How to Be Less Stupid About Race: On Racism, White Supremacy and the Racial Divide. Her most recent book, RISE UP! How You Can Join the Fight Against White Supremacy, is an award-winning young adult nonfiction work that explores the roots of racism and its modern-day legacies while empowering young people with actionable ways to create a more just and equitable world.

Flynn Coleman, International Human Rights Attorney

Who is Flynn? She is also the author of A Human Algorithm, a groundbreaking narrative on the urgency of ethically designed AI and a guidebook for reimagining life in the era of intelligent technology.

Sarah Jones, Actress and Activist

Who is Sarah? She is a Tony Award-winning solo performer, writer, comedian and activist. Sarah is mainly known for her multi-character one-person shows, including Broadway hit Bridge & Tunnel. She recently made her debut as a film director with the hybrid documentary Sell/Buy/Date, executive produced by Oscar-winner Meryl Streep, in which she stars alongside the multicultural characters that explore issues of identity, equality, and empowerment.
